David L. Mork
Chief Executive Officer
David has been in healthcare for more than 25 years. He holds a master’s degree in public health from Yale University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Virginia Tech University. A fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, David has worked in large and small hospitals both in large systems and freestanding institutions. He most recently served as associate administrator at a 471-bed hospital in Arizona. David has been a member of numerous volunteer organizations before arriving in San Antonio, including the American Red Cross, a local Chamber of Commerce, a Credit Union and a local Homeowners Association Board.

Richard C. Senelick,
Medical Director
Dr. Richard C. Senelick, medical director, has been affiliated with RIOSA since its opening in 1988. A native of Illinois, Dr. Senelick completed his undergraduate and medical school training at the University of Illinois in Chicago. A neurologist who specializes in neurorehabilitation, he subsequently completed his neurology training at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He is a frequent lecturer on both a national and international level. Dr. Senelick has authored numerous publications, including Living with Brain Injury: A Guide for Families, Living With Stroke: A Guide for Families, The Spinal Cord Injury Handbook, and Beyond Please and Thank You: The Disability Awareness Handbook.

Christine Chesnut
Director of Therapy Operations
A San Antonio native, Christine Chesnut, MPH, OTR, holds a bachelor's degree in political science from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio. She also received a master's degree in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston/San Antonio campus

Christine has more than 14 years experience as an occupational therapist, with nine years of experience in rehabilitation management. She also has an extensive background with Medicare and programs for older adults including acute rehab, geri-psych and skilled nursing (SNF) rehab. She also serves on the Alamo South board of The Texas Occupational Therapy Association.


Donna L. Torbet
Director of Marketing Operations
Donna L. Torbet, MBA, has more than 20 years of health care business development expertise in referral development, physician relations and service line positioning for acute care and post-acute care services. She is responsible for commercial operations, admissions, clinical sales management and product line development. Donna joined HealthSouth RIOSA in May 2007. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University in College Station. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Vanessa Tejada
Director of Human Resources
Director of Human Resources Vanessa Tejada has worked in human resources as either a manager or director for nearly 15 years. She received a bachelor’s degree history/political science from St. Mary’s University. Vanessa has been PHR certified by the Society for Human Resource Management since 2002. She has been with HealthSouth RIOSA since December 2005. Prior to joining RIOSA, she served as director of human resources for Souper Salad, Inc.

Larry F. Spriggs, CPA
CFO
Chief Financial Officer Larry Spriggs has more than 22 years of progressive health care financial management experience, including acute care, behavioral health and inpatient rehabilitation. Throughout his career, Larry has assisted in opening three hospitals, functioned as an internal auditor and has held area and regional CFO positions. A certified public accountant, Larry joined HealthSouth RIOSA in December 1994. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting and a master’s degree in business administration.
